Not every wrap job means changing your entire vehicle's colour. Chrome delete and accent wraps are some of the most popular smaller projects we do, and they make a noticeably bigger visual difference than their size suggests.
What "chrome delete" means
Many vehicles come from the factory with chrome trim around the windows, grille, door handles, and badges. A chrome delete replaces that shine with a matte or satin black film, giving the vehicle a cleaner, more blacked-out look without touching the paint itself.
Accent wraps
An accent wrap is similar in scope but more about adding a deliberate contrast rather than removing chrome. Common accent areas include:
- Roof
- Hood
- Mirror caps
- Badges and emblems
- Lower rocker panels
These are often done in a colour or finish that contrasts with the factory paint, black on a lighter vehicle, or a bold colour as a small statement piece.
Why owners choose this over a full wrap
A full colour-change wrap is a bigger commitment, in cost, in installation time, and in how much the vehicle's overall look changes. Chrome delete and accent work let you refresh the look of a vehicle with a fraction of the material and labour, while staying fully reversible if you decide to sell or go back to the factory look later.
How long it takes
Most chrome delete and accent projects are a same-day or next-day job, depending on how many pieces are involved and whether any trim needs to be removed for a clean wrap around the edges.
Maintaining it
Wrapped trim holds up well to regular washing, but avoid high-pressure wash wands aimed directly at the edges of the film, and steer clear of abrasive brushes at automatic car washes if you can.
If you're picturing a specific look but aren't sure whether it's a full wrap or a smaller accent job, bring a photo or two when you book and we'll help you figure out the right scope.
